Two of them are twins that are 18mths old, Identical twin boys. They are a riot. Platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. My daughter has 3 and lives in La.. I am a Louisiana native. That is where all my family lives. I have two dogs and one is with my ex and the other is in puppy kindergarten with my fiance in Pa. The older dog is almost 13yrs old and I don't want to take him from home. I enjoy geneology and researching my fathers time in the service. Not been very involved with any of it until lately. Mainly trying to gather photos . Dad was stationed in San Giovani, Italy. I would like to identify all the crew members in the photos. They could have been from another sqaudron. He was a Gunnery Sgt. Flew in the ball turrets of the B-24's and was involved in targets with the Ploesti Oil fields. He was shot down while he was targeting the Sava Railroad bridge. Based on some information that I have , he may have been in what was called the " Death March". It is very difficult to read the attrocities that occured based on a Dr's. journal written while he was in prison camps. Definintely want to validate anything that I put out. Just not much time lately, but certainly something I want to accomplish. On the lighter side I have an old narrated video that depicts the flights of the B-24's and others landing with noses to other planes stuck inside the nose of the plane landing and it is sort comical to see how some of those big birds actually managed to land all shot up. The narration is sort of funny too. Wished I could get copies of them! He was in what was called the Army Air Corps. You know how you can go to certain store and find caps and shirts for like Army, Airforce and Navy. Would be nice to find some memorabilia with Army Air Corps.

So far it looks like it is moving away from him. Good thing is that the Waccamaw River is between him and the fires off Hwy 31. It's a wait and see thing. Sounds like you have had a very interesting career in the Army? Where do you live now?

I have the copies. Only I don't know if he did that yet. My best friend is originally from Trier, Germany. She was curious as to where you served in Germany. Well I got bad news about the classes I'm taking. The county may not have the budget to continue the computer literacy certification course. I am half way through and trying to finish up in a hurry so that I can learn Microsofts Powerpoint, Excel and Word. I'm so ticked off about this because I just got an update letter from Senator Luke Rankin that they passed a bill to raise our taxes here so that the county can get extra money to promote Myrtle Beach/Horry county for advertising dollars. But no money in the budget for education. Don't understand why the "Education Lottery "can't pay for things like that. The unemployment rate for Horry County is over 14 % and the state is second highest in the nation at over 11%. Teacher are loosing their jobs by the hundreds. I'm adding an extra class to try to get done with the course. Everbody moves and tests at their own pace and I'm on my third book of 6. My Tuesday class is a 4 hr. class. Will have to really hump it for a while. Class ends June 3rd and we may not be going back for fall classes if the money is not there. Waiting on financing for an online medical program and will either take Administrativ Asst. or Medical Transcriptionist . Will have a home based business with the medical trans. program. If I get the financing I can get the Microsoft programs through the admin. asst. course. Just really scared and frustrated with all this. Education is everything for me right now. So the next 6 weeks are going to be crucial. There . Sorry for the long winded speil. Now that I've gotten that off my chest , how is everything with you?

At 11:43am on April 22, 2009, Lisa J. Campo said…: Hi. Sorry it took me so long to get back. Had a lot going on lately. Lost my very dear aunt and then my fiance's mother passed away within two weeks of one another. Couldn't make both funerals and so I went to Pennsyvania to be with my fiance. No April fools here. But what an awful April Fools joke you got . My mother would never speak to me again. Wished I had the time the time to post all of the data I have found on my fathers time served in WWII as he was a prisoner of war for 8 mths. He was awarded 5 bronze stars and never recieved them before he died. Most all of his service records were stored in Missouri and were lost in a fire. So it is difficult reserarching the history. Wondering if you may have any advice? Want to post the journals on here that I have compiled but don't know how much I can put on here and want to make sure it is all validated before I post it. Have a great day!
